Misc Maximum prop size for MT 2216-11 900kv Tiger motor

Hi all I'm thinking of putting 10" x 5" xoar props on my F550 with the MT 2216-11 900kv motors with 3s batteries and the dji 30amp escs - 2500g all up weight
does anyone envisage any problems
At the moment I have bought graupner 9" x 5" elektro props
according to ecalc eCalc - xcopterCalc - the most reliable RC Calculator on the Web I dont see a problem but wondered if people have run these motors on a hexacopter with what size props etc

I have the Tiger MT2216-11 900Kv motors on my F550 and I fly with 3S & 4S 5000Mah batteries with no problems so far. But I only use the 10/4.7 props and the 8" props.

do you use the 10 x 4.7 props with the 3s batteries

Yes and I use them with the 4S also

no heat issues with that size prop at all.
Do you think the xoar 10x5 props would be ok - I've not seen them in 10x4.7

Using the 4S batteries on 10/4.7 pros the tiger motors are hardly warm after a 6.5 minute flight

Have you tried 11" props at all

I can't run 11" props I have a hexa and there isn't enough room to swing 11" props

If you have the DJI F550 you can run up to 13" props with these little plates.

I was thinking of adding them to my F550 because I already have 4 of the Avroto 2814 Short Shaft motors, just need to pick up 2 more.
That would make this a real heavy lifter using 4s and a 11x4.7 SF it would have the abilty to lift 20+ lbs LOL

Yea, I thought about upgrading to the AMP2814 or the Avrotor 28-14-11 short shaft motors for my F550. That way I can run larger props. According to their testing both of these motors run the 11"/5 props very nicely for the heavy lifter.

I was also looking at the UG-1 Full Kit 2-axis gimbal I have the X-468 gimble right now but I may upgrade

Yea, i just ordered the F450-F550 converwsion kit from Aerial media pros yesterday. It has the big AMP 2814 motors and can swing up to 13" props I believe. But I"m only going to swing the 11.5 pros. I hope every thing goes well on this conversion. I might end up ordering the rctimer longer arms for the F550.
