General Main gear question

I'm getting ready to order some main gears for my 450 and I would like to know what, if any, the difference between using slanted gear vs straight gears?

I second that I have 2 trex 500s one on the slanted and its quieter than the 500 on the straight gear , the gear mesh is nicer too on the slanted the only down side is less pinions for the slanted mains I think there is only 11t or 13t unless you can find after market ones

Thanks you guys for that information. My X3 has the slanted gears and the 450 & 500 doesn't. I placed my order with Experience RC. and purchased a set of slanted gears for the 450 & 500 plus slanted motor pinion "11/12/13T"
