I am about to purchase the Skywalker X-8 and the ad for it suggests using a 400 - 800 watt motor, (Dependent on payload) a 12x6 - 13x8 propeller and a 4s 3,000 - 6s 5,000 mAh battery. However, when I was in an online chat with one of their product specialist, he suggested a 15X8 or 16X6 propeller.
What I'm looking for is a setup capable of carrying a rather heavy payload for as long as possible. I've listed 2 motors I've been told would be good for my particular needs. Could you please look over the specs. for these motors and give me your thoughts and suggestions? I was thinking of going with either the 15.5x9.5 propeller which was the closest thing I could find to the 15x8 they suggested or the 15x13 propeller I also found on their website.
