Been tinkering with my ikon setup. They say the only stupid question is the one you don't ask so ill ask... What is the cyclic precomp and what would you use it for?

Precomp, means Pre Compensation.
In this case, when adding severe amounts of cyclic in hard 3D manoeuvres i.e. Tic tocs, the torque can cause the tail to lose its heading slightly.
The pre comp adds or subtract some blade pitch in the tail blades to counter this torque differential.

Unless you're running a high agility mode (3D or Hardcore 3D) I doubt you'll need it. I've used collective pitch pre-comp before with success, though. Lots of collective in positive or negative will do the same thing, cause the tail to drag a bit.
