500 Futaba Sbus with Ikon & Goblin 500 - Need Advice

Hey guy's i got a quick question.

I am fixing to order all the electronics for my Goblin 500 and I am wondering, is the Futaba Sbus compatible with the Ikon (bailout) gyro.

I have read in some forums that it may not be, and other forums say that it will be with the new update or to use the Sbus2.

Has the update been issued yet?

Any information would be helpful.
