Setups FPV Flight Recording

Curious
Other than...
A second camera like the mobius or RunCam
A FPV cam with internal recording
What are my options?
DVR's?
Does anyone have experience with DVR's
How do they hook up?
Are they mainly used in a ground station setup?

Most cheap DVRs will record only as good as what you see in your goggles or screen.
In fact many degrade that even further to the point where it's a waste of time.
There is a reason why most miniquad footage you see on youtube is from a Mobius or Gopro.
The Runcam is starting to gain favour also but from what I have seen so far, it falls short of the Mobius video quality wise.

The Fatshark pilot cam has a built in SD card slot to record.
I would only use that as a backup to the better quality of the Mob or GPro.
A DVR is a good, because you have a recording with you, if anything should happen.
Then you can review the footage, and hope to find your model.
