ESC Flashing esc's

My question is can you flash simonk firmware to any esc or just certain esc's?

As far as I know, ESCs can be separated into 2 main groups. Those with the atmel chip and those with the silabs chip.
SimonK firmware can be flashed to most ESCs that have the atmel chip.
I believe the silabs chip can be flashed with BLheli firmware.

I have done the atmel based ESCs successfully but have not tried the silabs ones.

Check the specs when you buy it or search online if you already have them.

Here is an example of an atmel or atmega chip.

Here is a database of the commonly flashed ESCs.

You may have to view the database in IE, chrome does not seem to like it.

Also the SimonK firmware is for multis only.
