I've been following this off and on for weeks. Rule 336, which protects our hobby from the FAA looks like it's about to go bye, bye. If it had not been for the dust up over Kavanaugh's nomination and subsequent senate hearing, this would've been already voted on.
The FAA wants to make us take classes, get a license and not fly without one. A few bad apples have brought this down on our heads, so the bulk of us will have to endure the aftermath of heavy regulations.
ALSO, they are trying to regulate the manufacturers and I mean some heavy duty stuff. this would not only jump the price of our aircraft, but could potentially put some manufacturers out of biz.
This is worth looking into. It is also worth contacting your representatives in DC and in the state level. This could be voted on this week! Yikes! Not good folks. This is been coming down the pike for months and our hobby has been under represented throughout this whole process.
