I bought a 130s today. I’m pretty happy about this because I’m going to try inverted hover, flips, and rolls with it. I’ve heard these are pretty durable and I’d rather crash this than my Trex 450.

Hopefully they fixed that tail gear issue. Let us know how it goes!

I’ll keep you posted. I’ve seen a video on YouTube of someone doing flips with one of these. I was going to get one I can fly inside but opt’ed for this one as they were the same price.

Yup, my admin on here (named Matt lol) has a 130x and loves it. Even though he has not flown in quite some time. Going to need to remedy that lol. For my "small helicopter" I have the Align 150X and I think that little guy is fantastic. A little finicky at times, but a little monster lol.

I had a couple of 130X, great little helicopter could flip, roll, fly inverted but as Tony indicated often had TT tail issues, I put a sets of RC-Hawk CNC TT gears in them, helped a lot but never fully fixed the issue.

Moved on to 180 CFX, it came with it's own issues, but is really a weapon.

I'll be interested to see how the 130S goes.

:banghead: I burned out the ESC on this. I was trying to set it up like a flybarred helicopter and the servos burned out the ESC. I ordered a new ESC and set up the transmitter based on the instruction manual

I have the 180cfx. The only down side to it is the servos. The gear sets strip super easy. Other than that it's a rather durable kit, provided you hit throttle hold in time.

Mods I made to mine were, a set of metal gears for collective servos, replaced tail servo with a slightly slower metal gear Align servo, CF torque tube and a set of Lynx landing skids.
I'm now very happy with it.

So I replaced the ESC. It smelled burnt. Then I found that when I move the elevator stick the pitch servo doesn’t move. The aileron servo moves when I move the elevator stick and the elevator servo moves when I move the elevator stick but the pitch servo doesn’t move. So I replaced the pitch servo. It still doesn’t move so I’m guessing I burned out the flybarless unit. Basically what I did was bind the 130s to my transmitter, then set the swashplate to 120 degrees then I started reversing servos so they would all move together. What I should have done was read the manual and set everything per the manual. Lesson learned. I’ve ordered a new flybarless unit. I’ll keep you posted. Went quickly from flybarred heli’s to flybarless and there’s quite a learning curve lol

Hi folks just break'n in for a quickie...

I have one of these li'll babees and I kina like it..
I too have driven this thing into the lawn very hard twice. I can't believe it didn't shatter on impact!

But lately I noticed that one of the servos jitters really quick at about 3/4 stick.
Can this be reset or something or did I take out the servo? Correct me if I'm wrong, this has a DFC head right? I figure I pounded a servo...…….

    Thanks for the break in...……….

Sounds like a bad spot in the servo. If they are linear servos, you can take them apart and gently clean the contacts and everything else with a little alcohol. Might help, but would be best to just replace them.

Ok now something strange is going on.
Yesterday I mentioned that the aileron servo has a quick shuttering in it. So today I decided to power it up and have a closer look.
This time none of the servos were responding to stick commands. The elevator servo was all the up. The aileron servo was all down and the pitch was about in the middle and all were stuck.
I figure what the heck, I'll clean the spastic servo and see what happens.
I power up and ALL servos are now working buuuuuuut,, the shutter in the aileron servo remains. Ok I figure the servo is indeed worn out. After all they have almost 600 flights on them. But WHY did they all stop working at once? And WHY did they all just start working again??? Remember I only cleaned the one servo at the time.
This is a real head scratcher. I'm starting to think that the two times that this chopper nosed down into the ground just like that might not be my fault. When the servos were stuck, the swash plate was in a position that would've nose dived the chopper into the ground, hummmmmmm….

Below are a couple of shots of a servo before and after the filth was removed...
    This really freaks me out.
What are your thoughts on this strange situation?

I have this 130s too. It has become my favorite heli. I was experiencing tail wag, so reset the I and P to 108% and it went away. Flies great, responsive. Have not done inverted yet. Still working up to it. I did have to clean one of the servos, tho. Kind of a pain at first ,but when you get used to it, it's faster. Good luck and enjoy.

    Hi Capn.
I have a little tail wag too.
At take off the tail rotor kicks in late an the tail bounces back in forth until it in the air.

And sometimes while flying in a strait line the tail will wag a bit.

Can you explain more about the I and P setting? First of all, what does I and P mean?

Oh and nice hound face! I love dogs!!

hard to explain here. You have to reset the tail rotor gains . Look in your manual and it will tell you how. There are some good YouTube videos as well. That's how I figured it out. Try setting those gains a few more degrees higher . Only adjust it a little at a time, then test it and see what works best for you. Good luck!
