EDF EDF Impeller

I am assembling a edf unit, and was wondering how far in should I set the fan from the outside edge of the edf unit, or does it matter. I have a long shaft motor and there is room for adjustment. Anyone who can help with this setup post it please.

I usually try to put as much shaft on it as I can. It doesn't really matter where it is in the unit, but somewhere close to center, or just a hair forward is where most are sitting. I think anyway.
