I did the pitch gauge reading and it gave in -2 at mid stick so i adjusted it to 0 at mid stick and full stick at +9 and full down at -8. I try it out and still nothing, it wouldnt lift off, but i got something that happen. out of nowhere it got a bad vibration, that it started to move around on the ground but wouldn't fly. I am clue less... ? the servo was my fault, i didnt see that i had the trims a little down. but i fix that. It looks like the vibration was that the blade that couldnt pitch up went down while the other was up. check out the servos and servos was good. not strip. have no ideal what to do. ???? :( thinking of just buying the whole head assembly and replacing the one i got now.

No need to buy a whole new head, this has to be a simple problem, it usually is. The blade that is not moving when you move the swash, can you move the blade by hand fairly easily? It will move the feathering shaft as well. If you can not, then you need to figure out where the bind is by taking that grip off.

hey all, i fix the heli.... :) it was simple like you said. after alot of starting the heli and looking at i took all the rotor head apart. in the fearther shaft i put in baby oil. sweet baby oil and put it back together .... and it work. wow was so happy. i been flying it every day. learn how to hovor but then when i was learnnning going forward i git a fence and there goes the blades and a linkage rod. :) order new parts and hopefully will be back up flying. :) its been fun :)

Having fun, that's what it's all about. I'm glad you got it fixed and are on your way to learning how to fly. Keep us posted on your progress.

I would try to get it to about mid stick. When you flip it into idle up, mid stick is 0 pitch. anythign lower is negative and anything higher is positive. Hope this helps.

hey all, :) I have a question. Can you disable the Idle up channel and use it for like landing gears servo, or to put in lights and have the switch to turn it on and off ???
I also was wonder, i have a dynam hawksky 2.4 ghz and i installed some gyros on the ailerons. would it work well if you put gyros on the heli for the aileron ????

I didn't quite get gyro for ailerons part...?? Usually gyro's are programmed specifically in a way that they hold the tail steady by moving the servo kne direction or the other by sensing the direction of movement.

And as far as idle up... I don't think so...lets c what Tony ssts

If you are running the DX6i, then no, you can not use the idle up for a gear channel. YOu can only do that on an airplane, not a heli. You can however set your gyro/flap switch to do so, but you would need a gyro that doesn't have a gain channel, or can work without gain.

And yes, you can use a gyro on the ailerons. Best way is to run the gyro in rate mode, and run the servos off a Y harness so you only have to use one gyro.

hey all, i got my heli up and running. :) but i can't figure out why the tail always moves to the left when i am starting up. I made sure all trim taps for the tail is in the center before start up. power up the heli and i dont move it until the light on the gyro turns blue. I got a GY192 that came with the heli. i move the sticks when its power up and make sure the tail spider is in the center, it starts off like that then slowly it moves to the left all the way. i have to use the trim tabs on the tranmitter to fix it but during flight the tail wouldn't hold. heres are pics 2011-09-01 13-25-30.547.jpg2011-09-01 13-26-03.007.jpg2011-09-01 13-26-24.997.jpg2011-09-01 13-26-32.680.jpg2011-09-01 13-26-48.794.jpg2011-09-01 13-27-11.559.jpg2011-09-01 13-27-47.119.jpg2011-09-01 13-28-13.345.jpg2011-09-01 13-28-21.074.jpg2011-09-01 13-28-27.279.jpg2011-09-01 13-29-08.277.jpg2011-09-01 13-29-14.135.jpg2011-09-01 13-29-45.474.jpg

A HH gyro will move teh servo to anticipate the torque of the main rotor blades. As long as it's stable in the air, you are fine.

hey guys i was looking at a Flymentor 3D helicopter stabilisation System, its says that you basicly have to turn off the CCPM for this to work. anyone now how to turn the ccpm mixer off. I been trying to fine any information online but am not able to fine nothing. I have a regular radio the stock one with the heli. Or do i have to buy a differnet radio with the reciver to make this work ? thanks for the info
