Spektrum Dx9 idle up

hi guys, recently upgraded to dx9 from dx6i. was flying hell 600 as well as Tbs disco. the Tbs settings were easy to cross over however on the heli a little different. it seems i have 3d mode in normal mode. Esc wires disconnected, blades off. i have centred servos and swash all works in the correct direction and rotation. the idle up mode however makes no change from normal to idle up. i would love to have some clarity e.g. settings for normal, idle up 1, 2 for dx9. it seems this is not uncommon but i have, run out of talent. thx for what you will share.John oh step by step would be preferable:puppy_dog_eyes:

Do you mean your throttle and pitch curves are same in Norm and ID1 and 2?
If so, just go into those menus and set your curve something like this in Norm.

Pitch 45,47,50,75,100
Throttle 0,45,70,70,70

Yes lee is correct you will have to set up each flight mode individually. I keep a nice smooth pitch curve around hover in norm and stunt 1. 30 40 51 58 66 81 100. Stunt 2 is linear for 3d.

If it won't fly put a bigger engine on it!!!

Yes and thanks. It turns out i had added a H and the in the fsetup mode and i enabled three switches. Got that sorted. Is there any need to use the seven point Pit/Thr curves. e.g. N/mode 30 41 50 61 75 86 100 or idle up 1, 100 95 85 85 90 95 100? my dx61 is set at 100 90 85 90 100 idle up. Dx9 is a different beast

You are right, the dx9 is a different beast, but the basic functions are pretty much the same. There is no reason to add the other two points. 5 is all that you need.

i was wondering if I could set up an idle up 1 eg stunt one with less aggressive curve eg, 90 75 65 75 90 stunt 2 idle up 2 100 90 75 90 100. I have not done a lot of idle up but have hovered a few times, seems more stable. Could someone provide me with pitch curves and throttle curves for N, 1 and 2 positions on Dx9. flying on a Hk600 Heli with align upgrades. love that the combined knowledge of the group is more than the individual, cheers, John

Yea, you can set them to anything you want. For a beginner, I would to the following if you are set on running a v curve.

Throttle
N. 0 50 75 75 75
1. 85 80 75 80 85
2. 95 90 85 90 95

Pitch
N. 46 48 50 75 100
1. 0 25 50 75 100
2. 0 25 50 75 100

you always want 50% to be the same in all 3 pitch curves as well as over that and you always want to run a linear pitch curve in IU and Hold. Hope this helps.
