there is a thread on this that Adam started i looked but cant find it
but the 3gx has to be wired right with a standard rx not the sat rxs will not work with a dx6i
the way around it so the dx6i can control the gyro gain you have to use the standard rx with a jumper wire to power it up but is easy to do

Does this mean an AR6115e is not a standard RX?

its a standard rx you just have to wire it with the 3gx wires and ad power to it from the 3gx its a real easy thing to do

do you have the book if so wire every thing like it shows
then you will take the white red black jumper lead that comes with the 3gx and take out the white signal wire then you take the purple throttle wire and place it where the white wire was going to the rx the side with the red and black goes to the 3gx
should look like this
