Lanman I know jus how you feel about those so called cheap GYRO's not knowing if they will really work on your Heli.
But, I am not happy with my 3GX on my Align 800 DFC.
So, I decide to go easy on myself and toss the Align 3GX over a bridge while I was in the passenger seat of my friends car.
In closing I got on the WEBB and picked up one of those fine and very fancy KBAR's and I never looked back.
Also purchased one for my Goblin 700E and my Avant nitro, I am very happy with being able to do all of my 3D flying with my Heli's using only KBAR Gyro's.
I will say that I am not happy with a small part of not upgrading the firmware.
I know the KBAR's where, and are set at 5.0 when they left there small remote town somewhere in China.
So I'm a still happy camper here being able to do my 3D flying.
