500 brushless motor question

I am rebuilding a hk500 and trying to keep cost down !! I am just getting into heli's ...normaly a street and water rc'r !! Can I use one of my car brushless setups in a heli ?? Or one of my boat setups ???

Probably not. I would go to hobbypartz and get the helium motor for the 500. Cars are going to have way too much KV for a heli.

What are the specs of your car or boat motor and ESC? But as Tony said, probably not.
