Cars Broken Stator

Hi guys
I have a brushless motor from a Traxxas tmax. Thge motor was scratchy and did not turn easily. After opening it I faound the magnet on the shaft had broken in two. Can somebody give me an idea of what caused this please. I don't want to get a new one and then end up with the same problem 6 months later.

Depends on age. These things are under a lot of stress and sometimes things fail. I would put a new one in and if that one breaks, look into replacing the motor with a better unit.

hi a few question.. how many times did you crash? did you run thru water.. did motor get hot?..age of motor.. ive had my Erevo i built in 2009.. i have had the brushless motor in it since then.. probably have 100 5 cell packs thru it..with no issue.. no crashes and no temps hotter than 112 via ir gun
