Newbie, flying a much upgraded, Hausler TRex 450 v2 Clone, 4000kv motor, 3s lipos, 2200 mah, all metal constrution, tx is a Flysky Th-9X with Aurora 9 gimbals, firmware is OpenTx, Align digital servos with metal gears, GY48V Headlock Gyro.

Thinking of upgrading to 3gx, but not sure how well it will work with flybar system.

Have been interested in rc flying for many years. Have had many hours of stick time, in fixed wing craft. This is my first jump into rotor wing ac.

Welcome to the forum! You have a great helicopter there. A couple pointers though. Get a 3400kv Align motor with an Align 35a ESC, much more torque and less drop in head speed. Also, get that gyro off the helicopter and get a GP790 Align gyro. You will be much happier.

As for the 3GX, it will NOT work with a flybar. They will be fighting each other. If you want to run a 3GX, then get a full DFC setup and go that way. Otherwise, stick with the flybar. And even better yet, get the DFC setup and get the Ikon. It's a much better system than the 3GX which is hurting right now.

Welcome to the forum. :)
There are lots of other better FBL systems out there other than the 3GX.
All you need to buy is a FBL head for your heli, and the FBL unit, and you're good to go.
