Setups Best bang for the buck

So I'm on a very tight budget but would like to get into fpv quads, so my question for all you flight guys is what's the best setup with fpv pre installed for the minimal I need to run it can be a fpv heli or quad but I need ideas my girlfriend is buying it for my birthday. Remember I'm new to the idea even I've flown micro helis and some minis but I'm no pro so if I break it I wanna be able to either fix it or trash it and not have her out a lot of money

This is a very loaded question. There are kits for $100 like the quad that I did a review on (video below) that come with the LCD screen, Tx, Rx, camera, quad and Tx for the quad. However, it doesn't have a lot of power but will get you into quads and fpv on the cheap. Yes, it does fly pretty good, adn it's also from out sponsor.

I have a quad like the one lee posted that I got off ebay for $130 shipped to my door. But once you have that, you will need a battery, rx for your Tx, camera, vtx, vrx and a screen or goggles. All in all, you will be in it about $200 to $300 when you are all said and done. And this is purchasing the cheap, and very large, single screen goggles from hobbyking. They look dorky as hell, but they do work. There is a member on here that has it and he likes it. You can also get the rest of your fpv gear from hobbyking as well. If you want me to get you a list of stuff, just let me know.

Def get a list Tony I would rather get into a quad I can figure out how to fix if something goes wrong 200-300 isn't really to bad all And all I've been looking and they can get pricey like I was telling you, I want to get into helis and like you said quads are the easiest way to understand the physics behind flying one fpv isn't really a must I guess it would just be awesome to have

Or, if you want to do it right, get the vtx/vrx linked above and get these base goggles

And then for the quad, here is a list of stuff you can look into. Seems the price has went down since I got it.

I think that will get you started.

If you want to go higher end with the goggles, you can do that as well. Fatshark are some of the best known out there but there are others that are a little higher priced.
