450 Align Trex 450 3GX v2 Pro Build - main shaft wiggle

Hello gang! I've been enjoying my slow build (thanks to everyone at Rc-Help). I've noticed that my main shaft has a significant amount of play. I've installed both shims and it looks like I could use other 2-4 to tighten things up. Is this common? Ironically, when I first installed the shaft to the main gear everything seemed perfectly snug ( just like Tony's build), now there's some serious up/down movement. Did I miss something? Can I install a thicker washer instead of the shims provided with the kit?

Did you remember to put in the washer that sits on top of the main gear?

The gold/brass washer? Yes I did.

this is a long shot but is the shaft in correctly with the word "Align" on the bottom?

if so then try to spread the main blocks apart after loosening the screws.
