5yo Jacob with my RC Truck

Just finished fixing my Turnigy Trailblazer (again) and my 5yo son Jacob asked if he could have a go.
He has other much slower and smaller RC vehicles so I thought why not.
He's had a go before but I had told him to take it easy, this time no limits.
This is the result.
I think he did pretty well :).

Oh wow!!! How can you not be proud of that??? That was great!!! Well done, Jacob!!!

I thought it was great that he started out soft and gentle...just kinda getting a feel for it. Then he progressively gets a bit faster...and a bit faster. The turns are a bit sharper and sharper. He had a few short attacks at the dirt hill.....and then the inevitable...he smacks the wire fencing, lol. I doubt there was any damage to the truck.

Jacob is 5 year old, you say? That's impressive! Even I'm proud of him. That was really really great stuff!!!

Once I saw him get a taste of that hill, I knew he'd be going back for it.
Great job!
Is that gear mesh a bit tight?

Thanks guys, yup I am really proud of my litle man.
He got loose with another battery later and his confidence and ability just grew so much.
Before too long he'll be doing better than me. :)
He really wants to attack that hill but I am not letting him at the moment.

He also flies a nano quad in the house but just learning stages at the moment.

Is that gear mesh a bit tight?

Nah just cheap Turnigy truck from HK. It has plenty of clearance.

Proud but feeling a bit stupid at the moment.
We took the truck and my miniquad to the local school today, he ran the truck and I followed doing some FPV practice.
Got what would have been some awesome footage, but when I landed I found I had forgotten to push record on the Mobius.
Then, we got home and charged the truck batteries and he had another blast on some freshly mown lawn.
By now he is doing really well so I got out the Ipad and took some more video.
When we went to watch the videos (that I took without my glasses on) it was a couple of photo's. :(
