Prop 11.1 or 14.8

Ok, I am confused. I have been looking at the Art Tech Diamond 2500 with real interest. I found two dealers that sell the 2500, Nitroplanes and Banana Hobby, in the RTF version, for $250.00 US. Nitroplanes' Diamond is a 4 channel outfit with 11.1v 2200mah lipo and a 40amp ESC. Banana Hobby sells the same plane in a 6 channell, (w flaps), with a 14.8v 2200mah lipo and a 60amp ESC. That's where I got confused. They are both using the same motor, an Art Tech C3720 brushless outrunner. Can the motor handle the two different voltages and amp's? Video adds show the plane flys well with the 11.1 but a little slow on the climb. With the 14.8 it rockets into the air like my Radian.

Thank you pvolcko. I was hoping that was the way it was. I like to have the extra power to climb out of trouble in a hurry. It will also make aerobatic maneuvers easier. I will have to find Arttech's site.

Hello welcome aboard and just a word of advice DO NOT BUY FROM BANANA HOBBY DON'T DO IT THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU IN ANY WAY. get it from nitroplanes man better choice man i bought from BH and they screwed me????????????????????????????

Thank you John. I have had dealings with Banana Hobby in the past and you are correct, their Customer Service sucks. I bought a flight simulator from them and it didn't work. It took nearly 2 months, calling every other day, before I got them to replace it.

I've ordered parts and batteries from Hobby Partz (a division of Nitro Planes) and I've had great success with them.

Thank you mountaindewdude, I will have to check Hobby Partz out. I need to get some "O" rings for my OS46 needle valve.
