Hobbyeagle A3 Super Ii Flight Stabiliser

I wasnt sure where to post this, hope it's ok here..... I recently picked up a 'Hobby Eagle A3 Super II' flight stabiliser. I got it locally but these things are available from a number of places including Banggood for about $27, or a bit more if you want the programming box (highly...

Prop Extreme Flight Edge 540T 48"

The 85's wont fit the 48" EF Edge, they are too big. It's got servo wells sized for the smaller HS65MG or similar sized 'micro' servo. The Turnigy i linked fit perfectly or the Savox SH 0255 or 0257 also fit fine.

Prop Extreme Flight Edge 540T 48"

Re: Extreme Flight Edge 540T 48" I'm using those exact same Turnigy servos in a few planes and a 450 heli.. They are fast reliable or powerful. I've used Hitec's and Savox and would take the Turnigy over either. Those Turnigy servos are actually just re-badged bluebirds, that in itself...

Prop Extreme Flight Edge 540T 48"

Bud, for sport flying then the 3615 would be total overkill, I agree. If you want a budget motor that will still fly the plane nicely and fit without too excessive a cowl gap then here's some options: For 3s power: Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 3542-1000kv For 4s power: Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 -...

    FBL Gyro Spirit Pro Problem

Seems like us 'old farts' all are nursing dodgy backs. I'm (hopefully) just coming out of a bout of sciatica though the physio tells me that this time it's not my back to blame, rather a pulled muscle in my butt that pressing on the sciatic nerve. Whatever the cause it's painful! Much better...

General First Flight ESC and Motor gone bad - Need Help

Lookink at the spec on the plan the recommended motor is only 60g which is smaller than I'd expect but this is a trainer, not a 3D model so I'm sure that will be ok. So just look for a motor of 60g weight (a bit more would be fine) with a Kv in the 1000 to 1300 range.

General First Flight ESC and Motor gone bad - Need Help

Your 8x6 prop is still too much for that motor (on 3s). With that motor and your 3s battery you would be looking at a 7x4 prop or similar. The ESC would work but is overkill because it's a 40A ESC and the motor is only 20A.. So that means the ESC is bigger and heavier than it needs to be for the...

450 Chase 360 - the best 450 class heli around?

I've also looked at the Warp.. it's a nice heli for sure. What really decided me on the KDS Chase was that I got it at a great price but once I got it i was very pleasantly surprised at just what a nice heli it is. Same of the thoughtful design features like the quick release battery that comes...

Other New Tx? Looking for Feedback

If they are digital servos then some buzzing is normal, they all do it. As for the centring and the Spirit not showing exact centre.... You can use sub trim to fix this, trust me!. You will find a click or two of sub trim will centre the indicator up perfectly, and as long as it now...

    Other FRSky X12S 'Horus'

The prototype transmitters are with distributors for evaluation now, here's a pic one a Tx 'in hand'... It doesn't look big to by eye, maybe a little wider than average but not as deep due to the screen being mounted above the main case:

450 Chase 360 - the best 450 class heli around?

The tail is rock solid, no issues at all. I was expecting some problems after reading reports of various issues but nothing could have been further from the truth, if flew perfectly right from the first spool-up. Mine has had maybe 30 flights now, all trouble free and I've not had to do any...

Prop Extreme Flight Edge 540T 48"

Re: Extreme Flight Edge 540T 48" +1 on Motrolfly motors. for the 48" EF series you want the 2820 750 or 685Kv (depending on if you want to spin a 13x6.5 or 14x7 prop) But the real killer setup in the 48" that will blow your socks off go for the DM3615-750Kv (lightweight version).. on...

Other New Tx? Looking for Feedback

i knew, I meant the tail rotor... 'if' you had removed the tail belt when doing the head you could have got the twist reversed making that tail rotor spin backward... But if you didnt remove it then that's obviously not it. So that only leaves gyro setting, the response reversed (unlikely if...

    250 Super bad's oxy3

Sounds like you are good on the setup. Out of curiosity, is the rotor diameter of the three blade the same as the two or are the blades shorter?
  16. Smoggie

Other New Tx? Looking for Feedback

Possibly on the 450X you got the twist of the belt reversed so driving the tail rotor backward.. that would do it.

Other New Tx? Looking for Feedback

if you are using heading hold then too much positive (or not enough) would not cause the heli to spin. If it's spinning in heading hold that can only really mean that either the gain is turned way down or the gyro response direction is reversed. Take the heli in hand and yaw the tail left and...

    250 Super bad's oxy3

Murankar, I think we are thinking along similar lines.. If the Kv is the same and 'if' the pinion isn't already smaller then the headspeed might have increased a lot which would certainly hit flight times... and also explain why the heli feels much more responsive! Super bad.. are you running...

    General Not just for beginners

Hope you all had a happy and safe New Year celebration. And hopefully once sober you managed to get some flying in? I sometimes think a little 'Dutch Courage' might help me try out a few new stunts... No doubt it would end badly if I ever did give it a go, so I agree, not a good idea.

General How to Setup the nano CPX on a Spektrum DX7

They are talking about setting up a mix, you will find what you look for if you open up one of the mixing menus. Mixing is something that confuses a lot of people so you are far from alone. GER>GER means that you have mixed the gear channel back onto itself. Gear is the channel used for tail...
