    450 X3 trouble shooting time

Uri, Don't the X3's usually fly in 6s batteries? The Chase 360 i have (same size as the X3) gets 5 minutes quite easily but that is on 6s (6s 1400mAh). Of course 4s would work fine too, you just need a higher Kv motor. Good luck with your flying, the confidence soon comes back.

Quad New ZMR 250 Racing Quad Build

Those racing quads look like a real adrenalin trip. I look forward to hearing how you get along with it, I might give one a try one of these days.

    Micro 180CFX Msiden and crash

PS.. the other possibility if it's worse when you change blades is that the blades themselves are out of balance.

    450 X3 trouble shooting time

+1 on the good save, it takes a cool head to hit TH so quickly in those circumstances. I had something similar with by Trex 600 pro a while back which I managed to save in a similar way (stripped TT gears) but i had a lot more height than you so more thinking time.

    Micro 180CFX Msiden and crash

The blade grip bolts aren't too tight are they?.. They need to be pretty loose on a micro. If the heli is held on it's side with the blades horizontal and the heli is given a slight 'jerk' they should begin to drop under their own weight.

General 500 class helicopter visibility colors

Yes, the Agile pink canopy is not what I'd call understated!:

General 500 class helicopter visibility colors

Of the canopies I've tried this is the one that I've found best for orientation:

General 500 class helicopter visibility colors

Large blocks of bright colours (high vis fluorescents are probably best IMHO but any bright colour is ok) with strong contrast between top and bottom of the canopy is what works best for me.

    Flybarless Newbe

I know I've made this point before and it's probably getting very boring by now... but I hate the policy of selling those FBL controllers with the biggest selling point feature (self level/rescue) deliberately disabled, then asking you to pay a lot more to turn the features on. Not only is does...

    Micro 180CFX Msiden and crash

I previously had a trex 150, in fact i still have it. That thing is what put me off micros for years. It cost me more in parts and FAR more in time and frustration than any of my 600 and 700 helis. The final straw was when the main 'MRS' control board failed for no good reason, so it sits to...

Nade, That's a nice looking Bell. i've never tried scale helis. i used to do scale fixed wing 'back in the day' but lately i've got too lazy. Good luck when it comes to flying it.

450 Does the 360 CFX fit in this group? Or is it a 500 class helicopter?

Tony, Sorry if my post came accross as critical of the way the sub-forums are organised, that wasn't what i intended at all. It's kinda hard to keep up with the changing way helis are 'labelled' especially so at smaller helis sizes. The only thing more confusing is brushless motor designation!

450 Does the 360 CFX fit in this group? Or is it a 500 class helicopter?

Yeah, it's a 360mm blade '450 class' heli To be honest the old 'class' designation of electric helis which were originally based on brushed motor sizes are so far obsolete these days to be meaningless. All they do is add confusion. Looking at the Blade heli range for a couple of examples of...

    Micro 180CFX Msiden and crash

The 'maiden and crash' title seems to fit, so I wont start a new thread.... I picked up a Blade 180CFX recently second hand but new in the box and unflown. As a rule I don't like micros as experience has taught me that they tend to be tricky and generally more trouble than they are worth, but I...

    250 Blade 300CFX help needed

To be honest I'm not sure on the 300CFX but I know that the AR7210 on the 270CFX comes with pre-set and locked programming specific to the 270CFX. The reason they do this is to be able to sell the 270CFX relatively cheaply compared to the normal price of the AR7210 with SAFE. I'm guessing by...

    250 Blade 300CFX help needed

I think the problem was probably that many setup features may be locked out on the version of the FBL controller that comes with the 300CFX, servo reversing for instance might not be available. If the Hitex servos were reverse rotation compared to the stock ones then that may have not been...

The ones I linked will fit any servo with standard Futaba type splines. I think there is a version for alternate spline pattern too.
