Wife's first try after servo upgrade.

You didn't do a test flight after repairing it and then gave it to your wife.
Whos damn fool fault is that then?
You can't blame the wife. :p:p:p

Well I can't fly yet either, and I'm not blaming her, but your right, when I tested it the night before, I thought something wasn't right, but let her take it out the next day anyway. I still can't get it to turn right, all it wants to do is go left.

One would think, but you can hold the rudder stick all the way left, and it still wants to go right. I've checked the servo travel, and it looks fine on the bench, but when I spool it up it does the same thing. I'm kinda confused on why.

Dude! I'm really hoping you meant this post as a joke. Even if you did, it's not much of a joke with that second line. Come on now, we are here to HELP members, not call them a "damn fool". Steve happens to be a very good friend of mine, and I will not tolerate anyone talking to him like that, or any other member for that matter. Please refrain from posting like this again. Thanks!

I would check to make sure the servo or linkage isn't binding anywhere and is moving freely throughout the entire movement of travel. Sounds like if it's bench testing fine, then the servo sounds like it's stalling when you input right stick, which would lead me to believe that it's binding somewhere when trying to travel for right stick input.

Certainly was meant as a joke, that's why the multiple tongue poke smilies at the end.
If it was taken any other way, I offer my humblest apologies.
My Kiwi sense of humour is not always taken as such and I should remember that this forum is multicultural. :)

Back to OP, is it TT or belt, something simple to check if it's belt is the belt tension.
New build? Check the tail rotor is turning the right way and that the blades are on the right way. I know it's basic stuff but that's the stuff we can all overlook in our rush to get flying.

If none of the above applies, perhaps spin it up on flat surface and move the servo along the boom until you get some positive response. Also as has been already suggested, check for binding.

It's all good as I have never seen you actually be like that ever before. Just remember, there is no emotion in text. Took me a LONG time to learn that when I got on forums back in 2002. Again, it's all good. Just making sure.

Thanks Tony, as I said, it was not my intention to offend anyone and I was a little surprised it was taken that way.
However I concede that the Kiwi and Aussie sense of humour is not always appreciated as such.
Would a smiley face or a tongue poke at the end of the offending line have clarified this?
I will attempt be a bit more careful in the future to be clearer on my meanings.

I have been spoken to a lot worse in jest and either agreed with it or shrugged it off and replied in kind, however I do see your point about written words having no emotion.

When I post something like "your such an ass" or the like, I like to put something after it "lol" or whatever so that people know I'm joking. Steve is a pretty thick skinned truck driver so I know he doesn't get offended easily, I just wanted to make sure every one else didn't take it the wrong way. We have had some stuff on the forum here lately that has been, lets just say, less than desirable. So I'm ready to jump in the middle of just about anything to break it up. I have been on edge the past few weeks anyway with my situation, and may have misread your post.

Either way, it's all good bro, just had to make sure I didn't need to come down there :chuckles:.

We'd send you home with your tail between your legs, like we are going to with that big silver yachting cup. :):):)

Oops are we "hijacking this thread" :):)

I hate training gear. I think it made me crash more than prevented it. And it's also bad about sticking to grass and flipping your bird over. If I had to use it I would stay on concrete or asphalt. That way it will slide around and not get caught and flip. Just my 2 cents worth. Hope it helps.

She needs to learn to stop sooner, I try to tell her, but she's not listening lol Seems I forgot to check the tail rotor servo, and wouldn't spin right. Going to take it with me and hope to get time to check ALL the adjustments. I tried it, and did get off the ground, but still just spun left, even with trim adjusted.

Hey Steve, get that heli fixed and let your wife try again, it would be great to see more women pilots, I've never seen any on RCH yet

+1 on this, get that training gear off the grass, some smooth concrete much better...

Yup, it's in my training videos. Training gear to be used on a smooth flat surface, then fly over grass when you take it off.
