380/420 Gaui X3 Build Issue

Having an issue with building the new X3, I can't seem to get the main gear correct, I'm sure I've done something wrong but can't see what? With the c-clip in the correct position the tail drive sits up too high, with the tail drive gear in the correct position there is a large gap between the c-clip and the main gear. the tail drive is wound down as far as it will go, I must have something in the wrong position or upside down but just can't see it.

Good man Admiral. Your no dummy, like me, sometimes we get brain farts. Once the cloud clears, you can see the light Lol. Good luck with the rest of the build and ...where's the pics :).

Amazing how well it goes together when you put things the right way up.
Really enjoying the build except for that one hiccup, manual and packet numbering makes it dead easy, surprised at the number of different screw sizes, used to the frame having a standard screw size but no real issue.

So what was it that you did to cause the issue? Just had the gear on upside down? Which gear, main or auto? Just asking for someone that may have this issue in the future. Glad you got it working, looks like a sweet bird. All these X3's out there now I want one lmao.

After a very late boxing day night and a couple of wines I installed the crown gear retainer upside down, dumb mistake, then I thought nobody else seems to have a problem it must be me, Right On. LOL
I had spent most of boxing day setting up my wife's Christmas present a new computer and longing to get stuck into the X3.
All good now going to be a great build, becoming the local king of 360's have a Align 450L (Up for sale), Chase 360, Warp 360 and now a Gaui X3, lif is good, now all i need to do is learn to fly them like I stole them.

Reminds me of when I installed the OWB upside down in an Align build lmao. Everything was going great... Until the maiden lmao.

Don't forget that the crown gear and or main gear may need to Be shimmed. There are 2 places that shims can go depending on what need fixed.

Crown gear shimmed OK, build is going well since that one little brain fart.

Maybe New Years day, but most likely next Saturday :boldblue::banana::boldblue:

After watching Murankar's build video again I have to revisit the washout arms, I've put two washers in the wrong spot, shouldn't take long. Thanks for the videos @murankar big help.

Mechanics finished, motor (Scorpion) and servos (Savox & KDS Tail) fitted all that's left is the ESC (Castle 50A) and the FC (iKon)

Only mods made were a couple of Nuloc nuts on tail servo and painted tail stabilizers for orientation.

Probably because you can't get Fusuno canopies anymore lol. Great looking helicopter, can't wait to see it in the air.

Fusuno is still around. they were updating their site, and crashed it .....hahahaha. They said they`ll be back up and running as quickly as they can.

"Our website had a problem because of
updating new version and we are fixing. We still reply
email"

"We'll try to solve problem ASAP and continue to receive order.
Hope you and all our customers can wait.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Best Regards

That is good news. I heard from a few members that they completely shut it all down. Glad that they are still around!

The only thing I don't like about them is the shipping cost. It just about doubles your over all cost unless you can buy locally.

Yeah, their shipping is pretty high. But they package them to withstand a nuclear blast, and they do come from Vietnam. :D
