Spektrum Plugged In Dx8...

Hey Tony, I noticed in some of your great videos that your DX8 is plugged in at the same time your using it. I did know I could do that with mine! I wish the manuals were more complete...

Speaking of the DX8, what's the real difference between the DX8 and the DX8 G2??

Hey Rob, yes, most of the time my Tx is dead and I have to plug it in just to use it on video. Just keeps it from dying.

Cool radio!!
Yea, the DX8 is a fantastic Tx that anyone should be able to use for many years. The ONLY reason I sold my DX8 and purchased the DX9 was becuase 1. I needed a case for the Tx and the DX9 came with one, 2. you never know when you will need that 9th channel lol, 3. It's BLACK!!! and 4. because it had just come out and I had some plans that later fell though. I still love this DX9! I thought about getting the IX12 but I have not heard much from @bigone5500 on that Tx. I think he likes it, but not sure.

The iX12 is a great Tx. Android based. The one major downside to it is if you want to quickly get out and fly, you have to wait for the android system to start up. But after that it's quick. There is a mode that puts the Tx in low power state and when you get ready to fly again it's ready in a second or two. It's way overkill for me but I don't care...LOL!

WT*??? Ok. The two identical posts gave me the above error. When I posted about the error the 'errored' posts show up.

Interesting, that add on usually works really well. Might have been a server hiccup or something. We will see if it happens again and if so, I will check the logs.

I like over kill! When I can afford it. You'll be growing into your iX12 for awhile I'm sure. Hey when you said Android, you lost me... Heck I don't even have a cell phone so I have no idea how you radio thinks, ha!
Oh and I like that puppy face too!

The Tx is basically a cell phone with the capability to control an aircraft. Just without being able to call anyone. It's also like a cheap android phone, low quality processor. It has its ups and downs but overall its a very nice Tx. Especially with the ability to tune a quad at the field with the OTG adapter. This Tx is slightly different in the fact that it uses an app called airware. If there is an improvement to the Tx they will release an update on the google play store for the spektrum airware. Oh, and you can post on facebook with it too...oh whoopie...

The puppy avatar is of one that I had a couple years ago. I screen shot the photo from a video I took of him eating a bacon treat. He was a mini dachshund that lived about 6 months and somehow got sick and died quickly. He was a very good little dog, as are most minis I have encountered. I have 6 of them but am trying to find a good home for a couple of them.

Oh no! Sorry to here about the puppy avatar...
I wish my printer scanner was working, I'd shoot you a picture of nice big beagle, lab foul killing hound of sorts. I had Spike for nearly 17 years and I miss him very much...
I would get another hound in a heart beat but there's no way I could afford the vet bills. To bad, he was the only one I could trust...
