FBL Gyro which Gyro is bettwr?

Hi.

I am buliding Trex 500 DFC now. I am useing 3GX, but a lot of frends told me 3gx is so so. One of friends told me skookum SK 540(Products « Skookum Robotics) is better than 3GX. Could you tell me those Gyro's strength and weakness and which one is better.

There is NOTHING wrong with the 3GX. Those that have issues with it never gave it a chance and never set it up correctly. If there were that many issues with it, then Align would not be selling it. Your 3GX will be just fine.

Ikon and Beast-X are both great gyros as well and are pretty easy to setup. But, you already have the 3GX so just run that.

With the V3 firmware, the 3GX is now a good gyro. The Skookum is a very high quality gyro.
I would say as far as quality and features the list would read.
1st IKON/ Skookum
2nd BeastX
3rd 3GX
But they are all capable of doing the job of keeping a Helicopter stable. No need to change your 3GX unless there is a specific feature one of the others has that you want.

my 3Gx is sweet as .... upgraded the firmware to 3.0 and simply callibrated the pots and set up my DIR and it has never missed a beat.
