I took it for about seven years until my Lupus was in remission. Actually I also had to stop the drug because it causes a problem in the back of the eyes after long exposure. But that's only happens when taken for a very long time like me..  I need to talk to my doc about if I get the bug, can I go back on the Hydroxy Chloroquine? I bet I can because it'll only be for a very short time..I have a feeling it's going to get worst before it get's better..
