600 Trex 550 E Front Drive Gear tooth broken off

I am finishing the build on this heli and during a bench test one of the Front Drive Gear tooth was broken off (the gear that engages the front umbrella gear).



The umbrella gear and the gear that engages the auto gear are fine.



Is it recommended that I immediately replace the gear?



I do not do any aggressive flying. Hopefully one day I will.

If there are any damaged or missing teeth, you should always replace them. Remember to get the .08 gears and not the .06 that goes on the 600's.

Yeah, got to replace it. Even if you were able to run it with the missing tooth, it would cause a lot of vibration and noise. And when it did finally break all the way you would have little or no tail control, which is a very bad situation to be in.
