Smething to think about.

With one of the truisms of the RC hobby being "Its not if you crash, its when" a thought came to mind. I am curious as to what the ratio of new equipment sales ( not including radios) is versus the sales of replacement parts and accessories. Would it be advantagous to the marketers to sell quality new entry level equipment at rock bottom prices to get you hooked on the hobby (Seems to work for the druggies) and make the big profit on after market items and secondary sales.

This would require better stocks of spare parts by vendors so that all these new folks drawn into RC don't get discouraged by not having spare parts available in a reasonible time.

Problem is there are so many "Spare Parts" going out that the manufacturer is having a hard time keeping up! Lol.
