600 Satellite on 3GX

Can i put one Satellite receiver on the 3gx and still be fine when flying or dose it require two?

You can use one. Just make sure to NOT fly over 400' away from you or you may lose signal.

As this is in the 600 forum, I would be careful with how far you are flying away from yourself. The little sat can be blocked very easily with the carbon side frame of a 600. If you are just hovering around, then it should be ok until the other sat arrives.

Crap, didn't even catch that Lee. On a 500 or bigger, you MUST use dual satellites. There is just too much carbon fiber and electronics on those things that can block the signal. On something that large, safety is KEY. I thought this was on a 450, that's my bad. I retract what I stated above, get that second satellite BEFORE you fly this heli.
