Satalite tx/rx

I hope that I word this right.

I have been hearing and seeing satalight receivers and i think something to the affect of satalight transmiters.

I know that a TX transmitt's a signal to the receiver, and the receiver responds to the signal.I know that most of the newer TX's jammer in them(dsm),which is a sub-audio tone that the transmitter listens for.So i do know how a tx and a RX works,but.... Ive heard about satalight receivers. What is the satalight part of it do?

The satellite will in most cases, take a narrow range Rx transfer it to a full range Rx. It does this by having the main Rx in one orientation, and the satellite in another. By doing this, it can catch a signal no matter what way the Rx is in relation to the Tx. Hope this helps.
