Power Supply's Replacing Led

I would like to replace a Navigation red LED for a Airfield 1450mm Corsair.
I burn it out trying to test it by plugging in a 5.17v NiCad.
I plugged it into the green led and it worked fine.
where would I look for replacing this?
what kind or what size should I be looking for?

That looks like a 10mm LED. I would just do a search for green 10mm LED on ebay and see what comes up. Make sure you are searching for the voltage that is going to it as well. Otherwise you will need to run a resistor to keep from blowing it out.

Yes, the 2 volt means max voltage. Meaning if you put 5 volts into it, it will glow very bright for about 3 seconds and never work again. The first one you mentioned was a 5mm LED. You say you need a 10mm, so that one will not work. Have you measured voltage where the LED goes? If not, then you need to measure the voltage where the LED goes. If you do not measure the voltage, then there is no way to know what LED to get. The forward voltage is very critical on LED's.
