Yeah the 400 is can size. Tony had a 400 size motor that did about 3500 kv. It was a weaker motor but it worked in his earlier 450 clone. It was just enough to fly basic stuff, it was not suited for sport or 3d flight on a heli.

Ok. I bought a GP Slinger. It came with a 400 Brushed Inrunner Motor. Wing Span is 47", weight is 27 oz. I would like do an upgrade. Max. prop is 6". What KV do you suggest? The can has to be approx. 24-28mm in dia. and 35-40mm long. Most likely if you give the KV, I can match the dim of the motor.

I just spoke with my neighbor. He has a GP Slinger. He doesn't remember the exact numbers from the motor but he did say that it was a 28mm brushless inrunner and roughly 3000kv. He does have a 5x5 prop on it and this thing is a screamer!!! I hope this helps!
