On iDrac.... the last I knew you were unaware of or didn't recall which version you had updated it too... since iDrac6 v2.92 is the latest shown as available for download for your R710 server... you should be good on that front. I think that is all of the firmware related things that may be always running... but I'd check with Matt to see what he knows just to play it safe. To be a little more specific... I thought it was a good idea to have the BIOS fully updated and any server management components in firmware that are accessible through the management port.
I saw the "Lifecycle Controller" stuff but was unaware of what it performed... So just guessing, I suspect it just provide utils to manage those OS and/or provides utils that can be operated from within those OS. Example... I know Robert is using Vmware for his VM's... he is able to completely backup and restore them from the management port if needed from bare metal without needing to completely reinstall the OS portion manually. That is a supported feature because he is using a supported OS...
If you were looking for some type of utils for your server for Unraid... they ( or someone else ) would have to provide it since Dell isn't and is unlikely since the R710 is an old server.
