Belated welcome to the forum. Liked the video, good flying, good video quality. I like that vertical stall out close to the ground. What is that? and other than pulling back on the elevator, what else is needed to do that move? :p

Gaba, Tom was literally flying rolling harrier circles around me when I was in one spot hovering in RF6 lmao. I'm glad to have him here. Adn I watched this video last night while the wife was watching some stupid vampire movie show thing lol. I like planes more.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm really enjoying planes and 3d flying. I am starting to develop an interest in precision flying. I'll always be a stick banger though.

haha, I love that sig. And once all of my parts come in for my other two planes, I think I will be doing just that. Crashes don't hurt as bad when you are not that far off the ground or going that fast lol.

That is soo true. Best to be within an few feet of the ground or at least 40ft or so while learning to hover. 15-20 ft is a tough height cause you don't have much time to get some air over your wings and exit the stall.

I have been hovering in the sim for quite a while, but I just tried it with a 40" Extra 260 this past weekend out at the field. It actually went quite well and just hung there. Now if I can just get the nerves to calm down and do some of this where I can actually see it lol. I will get there. I just have to quit working on the forums and get out to the field more often.

Nice flying. I have to get myself some sort of 3D plane. My only plank at the moment is my FunJet

Gaba, you have a 3D plane. It's only about 12" on the wing, but it's a 3D plane lmao.

Yes practice is the key. The more you fly the better you get. The sim is a great tool but flying the real plane is where it's at. I'm lucky and can fly across the street from where I live.

Well, I have a field I can fly in, but taking off and landing are impossible because of how rough the ground is thanks to the cows. But, I have my membership to the club back and will be flying more and more. Just need that hands on experience.

I suppose I'll just keep with the thread title and post my 71 slick videos here. I recently got the motor back from repair due to a loose magnet. Although i was not in the groove I still posted an edited video of 2 flights. I was restricted due to a golfer who was out practicing. I have a couple videos I posted from the day I noticed the loose magnet. I'll just post them all in this post. First video is from yesterday and the other two are from May 5th. I'm charging batteries now for a few flights today.

OK I made a few more videos of the 71 in the past few weeks. I ripped the rudder out and folded the elevator on memorial day weekend after some hard huckin. I replaced all the tail hinges which were 1/8" robarts to 3/16". I ended up with a little less throw now as I didn't leave enough hinge gap for these bigger hinges. Just takes some getting used to but she still has enough throw to do everything I want. Here are a few vids I made since my last post. Mostly all windy flying except the last video I made yesterday. I actually like a little wind but won't complain if there isn't any. Watch in 720p. That's what they are recorded in.

some great flying as usual bro. Glad to see this plane back in the air after that hard belly landing.
