Super Mod & DEAL KING!
MCPX uses SPMAS2000LBB ($26.99) from the factory.. It is a ball bearing version. it costs 26 bucks and is currently out of stock till late july 2011.
Well, I found out there is a cheaper and perfect substitute to them. The servos are made by spektrum (same basic company) , long throw... just the difference is they are 1.7gm onstead of 1.9 gm, mainly because they dont have bearings, they run on bushings. They cost 18.99 from a LHS.
I had to replace mine, and i replaced it with these, they come with a long wire, which i shortened, but that was it. They work Perfectly.. NO ISSUES AT ALL...
Also, if for some reason your gear and pinion on servo mechanics goes crappy on you. You can replace it with a msr one ($1.99). which is perfectly identical to the ones on mpcx , so it can save u a lot of time and money.
hope this helps...
here is the product number of the spektrum servo: part number (SPMAS2000L)
