Welcome James. You did the right thing by starting out with the mSR, that is one great helicopter and I still fly one in the house and love it. As for the 130x though, I have never owned one because of tail issues, but if you get a good one, it's great for getting into CP heli's. Myself went to the mCP-X for CP training. Well, kinda lmao.
Yes I had tail issues too. I bought a microheli tail upgrade and had nothing but problems with the gears staying in contact with each other. I tried metal gears and wore 2 sets out. I took the micro heli off, went back to stock and no more problems. I'll admit, probably 85% of my probs are probably lack of pilot knowledge and error. But I'm getting there...lol
