Prop I'm not sure?

I pick up a no name brand A 2213/13t 1000Kv motor and 20amp esc. The problem is no prop came with it. I thought I can use my old prop from the old motor but not! My other motor, the prop was held on by a small rubber band. The shaft on this motor is 3.16mm and it's bare. What size prop and attachment I will need. I was using a slow prop and this motor, esc is for park flyer. My plane is a foamy.1000001416.jpg

What you are looking for is called a prop adapter ... but there are a lot of different types and sizes. Which makes the question which one.

They have several styles as I mentioned, a collet one is like what your dremel rotary tool probably uses to hold onto the bits... another type screws into the rear of the can on the back side with 3 or 4 screws but motors that use those typically have another X brace motor mount that attaches to the other side ( the side with the shaft sticking out on the motor ) only I don't see any screws that would attach anything on that side... then there is another type that uses grub screws to mount to the shaft that has a flat on one or two side of it.

A search on HobbyKing shows a lot of the various types Search results for: 'prop adapter'

Thanks Randy. I take it that I need a new prop to go with that adaptor? Any prop that fits that adaptor will work or do I need something like a slow prop?

Other than the size of the hole for the prop... everything is a guess. The only info listed on the tag is the size of the can and the kV. The least you would need to know more is the max amp draw it can pull and if that draw is burst or continuous as well as what it's voltage range is. I assume none of that was given since that is typical of cheap motors I've seen. You may get a clue if you find another motor ( with specs ) that are similar in the physical specs you have but that is also still a big gamble.

Yeah, I'm just going to order a new setup. You get what you pay for. I know better than that but I guess not. Hey Randy, what would you recommend for motor & esc for my hobbyking hummer foamy? Same setup or different? 1000001433.jpg

I usually go with the recommended equipment or their equivalent. I only have bought one foamy, so I don't have much experience hence why I would go with the recommended stuff or equiv.

While it's a discontinued model, I did find the product page after a quick search. They were recommending the Turnigy 2213 20turn 1050kv 19A Outrunner and it comes with the prop adapter etc. They also recommend using a 1047 ( 10 x 4.5 ) slow fly prop.

Here is the product page with links to the recommended accessories H-King Hummer Xtreme 3D EPP Aerobatic Profile Plane (Kit) 1000mm (39.4
