It reminded me when I watched a 6oo DFC upgrade video which I think was shot at Tony's house and I saw the trampoline standing. I was having problems with ground effect but to scared to take my heli up to high when I was learning how to hover. I have a round trampoline in my backyard, it is 2m in diameter and it provided the ideal solution.
There is almost no "groundeffect" due to it actually being a net and as a bonus, it teaches you to hover in a small area. Also "hard" landings become a bit softer due to the springy material and springs used.
