Kits ESC on a glider?

Hi guys. I was thinking of building a glider without a motor. Instead of using a RX battery to power the servos, could i use a ESC without a motor attached? If so, would it even matter what amprage the ESC is?

Yes, you can use an ESC as a stand alone BEC. Just make sure to not only tape the motor wires, but also set your throttle curve at 0% all the way across the board.

But you cant set a throttle curve in airplane mode.

I forgot about that. Helicopters have ruined my mind. Just make sure to tape it up really well.
