I believe its time to change the rechargeable batteries on my DX6i. They're not holding a charge when not used for a few days. Does the Tx hold onto the settings when the batteries are pulled or is it necessary to re-enter all data after changing the batteries? I intend to also change out the thumb wheel at the same time, its been giving me some problems.

I used alkaline batteries in mine and have to pull them out constantly. You will not loose your settings.
If you are replacing the roller, I would also consider the backlight hop-up. I think I got mine form a UK Ebay seller for under $25 shipped. When I use that TX indoors it is tough for my eyes to see at times.
