FBL Gyro Changing Orientation Of Ikon

I just purchased a used Trex 500 FBL heli that came with a IKON controller. the previous owner had installed the controller horizontal (sticker up) and the servo plug in's to the rear of the heli. I tried to connect to the micro USB but it was very tight and binds with my elevator servo. can i turn it 180 deg with out changing any settings? I have flown it but still want to be able to connect to my laptop

You need to connect it to the computer and change the orientation in the program. If you are talking about pointing the wires from the rear to the front, it will reverse your cyclic correction directions which will result in a crash. So either move it away from the anti-rotation bracket so you can get a 90º micro usb plug in there or completely go through the setup again once you change the orientation.

I have the same issue and plugged in a short USB extension cable, which I leave there permanently.

I have ordered a short cable with a 90 set end from amazon. At least I can still hover it until it arrives.
