It's been awhile since I posted a video or flown my helis. Sometimes life gets in the way and throws you a curve ball to keep you on your toes. Especially when you closer to your golden years. Everyone will go through, what I'm going through, sometime down the road of life as you get older. I like to say, "Getting old isn't for whimps lol."
I've been mostly flying my fpv quads around the properties and hovering/ short flight around my yard with my Guai X3. It's not the park but I try to keep my muscle memory working. In time and when the heat turns down some here in Fla, I will hot the park to fly andmakes some videos. I just take it one day at a time...at the time being. I did donated some of my, laying around, not being used, collecting dust RC parts to one of our members on the site...Jim Lewis. With the help of his church, there're trying to get together a flying program for the youth...if all goes well.
Hopefully the next time I post, I've been back flying again and posting videos. Till then, while flying, keep your skids down...unless inverted lol.

Even the whimps have to put up with it... if they are to get old.

Sometimes taking some downtime is just what we've got to do. Life is full of both the good and the bad... I just hope to enjoy one and learn something by the other.

Here a while back, I moved my office from one of my rooms to the other. It's been a while since I made that move, but the other day, I finally cleaned off the shelf that I had/have in the office, and I found quite a few parts to stuff I don't even have. Like canopies for a 130x to a main gear/shaft for the eflite CP and I thought about doing the same thing that you did, donate it to someone that can use it. Of course I have much much more stuff that is not being used as well, but need to get out to the garages to round all of it up. Might just do something with quite a bit of it that I will never use again. And no, none of the helicopters or planes are a part of this plan. The quads, quite possibly lol. But not my 250's or 140's.

And getting older, yea, it happens to everyone and everyone has to go through the trials and tribulations that come with it. June 1st of this year, it hit our family quite hard with the passing of my brother in law. He was 38. It kind of gives you a different perspective on life when something like that happens. It definitely makes you think about how lucky those that can push through the tough times and live many decades together really are.

For me though, it's all about that whole mid life thing where you are thinking about the future more than the "right now" which is the main reason I don't really do anything that I used to do anymore. I don't do RC, I don't go to the races (not that there are many tracks around me anymore), I don't ride motorcycles and I no longer tinker on cars and other things in the garage. Mainly because the roof is about to cave in on the garage and I'm trying to get everything setup to build myself a 30'x50' shop lol. I think once that happens, I might just get back out and do more tinkering, more wrenching, maybe some riding, and quite possibly, back into RC. I was really hoping I would be there by now, but when you have to deal with the death of one family member, and have another family member move in after a massive heart attack that drives you up the friggin wall, things take a little more time to get done.

Chin up bro! You know you can always reach out if you need someone to chat with.

A nice shop would be handy for you Tony. With all the knowledge and RC stuff you have, you should think about getting back to flying. To me, flying is away about having fun while learning a skill.
