You are correct. Blade 450X is a flybarless with a stock AR7200BX controller (supposedly). You can convert a flybar to flybarless, but it will cost you more. It's better and cheaper just too buy another 450X helicopter.

I have the same issue on my Blade 180 and 450 heli. Try different ESC. Solved the problem on mine. After I checked my throttle curve, pitch curve, replaced the motor, it came down to esc issue.

Not just gyro, don't forget to adjust your Dual Rate (D/R) and Expo Rate (Exp). If you lower your D/R @ 70% = less throw or deflections of your blades. Increase your Expo to +40% or 30% = less sensitive sticks movements. You can start from this setting and change anytime.
