Having bought from Anthony before, the shipping is not bad at all. And that was for a very large box that included a lot of extras besides just the heli.

The sound is actually coming from the motor. If you are touching it or something else is it can muffle it. Also if settled into a spot that is out of phase with the coils the esc uses for generating the tones the sound can be lower volume than normal.
