According to Scorpion's specs on their website... it has a max continuous current of 100a but a max peak current of 230a ...

It all depends on how you fly. Most can get away with 120-130A speed control. Especially if all you`re doing is sport flying. I have rarely seen amp draws from my own speed control over 100A spikes. Most of the time I`m right around 90 or so amps. I`m running a 170A speed control on my Whiplash 730E, with 730mm main blades. If you`re going to be flying like Kyle Stacey, I would say yeah, you should go with a 200A speed control. But for the average pilot, 120-130 is enough.

We are talking 12s right?
Yes, I`m talking about 12s. I have run 120A and 130A on 700s many times. The speed control I have on my Whiplash 730 is 170A, and it`s just fine. You don`tr need 200A unless you fly like Tareq and all those guys. I`m sure you`ll be perfectly fine with 120A or 130A.

The Hobbywing 130A HV will give 130A continuous and 10 second spikes to 160. You`ll never over draw it with sport flying.
