You will still want to set it to 6º regardless of the light. The gyro will not be happy with that, but sometimes the bad option is the only option.

With the links in that far on the servo arm, you should be going past 6º. I'm not quite sure why it is not working. Set it at 6 and see what the gyro does. This is what I would do because I'm curious like that lol. But do this at your own risk. Things can get hairy in a hurry, so be ready for it.

Make sure everything is set right. I know people have set the wrong swash type and have had issues. Make sure that you have it set for 120 if that's your swash type.

Another consideration is the ball links on the servo arms. If they are all they in towards the center then move them out towards the ends. The center whole won't give you the travel you might be looking for. The servo arm ends will give you a larger travel path. Maybe moving them out further will give you the 6 degrees you need.

Just outbid curiosity why do you have your ball links all the way in the center? Not are the links vertical. They really need to be out one whole or two. Possibly even a different set of arms. Read the manual for ball link to center distance for the X3.

Look at your blade grips. Verify that you ball link is in the right while for your linkage length. There should be 3 holes in the blade grip. Each whole gives a different style of feel. Each whole has a different linkage length. I have mine set on the middle whole in the blade grip. The outside whole is for aggressive flying while the inside whole is for mild flying.

Here is my X3. The first is the blade grip wholes I mentioned. I use the middle set.

The following after that is to give you a reference for the length of my links. It looks like you have a X3 or the clone. I am thinking your setup is wrong compared to mine. Need to double check those links.

Good deal. I hope the info helped out.

I just looked at the pics. You want the linkages to be vertical. With the arms 90 degrees to the servo body , the punishable be 90 degrees to the arms.

Trim off the extra arm you won't need it. Then once the linkages is set trim down the arm a tad.

sory it took so long to get back. Family comes first. Anyhow its no problem like Tony stated. Just want to ensure your doing it right and learning acurate information. Enjoy the X3 it flies well.

Gear mesh sounds really tight, definitely take a look at that.

After those tail adjustments it looked really good in the air. Nice and stable! Might want to consider setting up the governor to keep the motor rpm more stable which will result in a more stable hover without bobbing up and down.

Sometimes I wish that was all the grass I had to mow... lol.

blades out of tracking tail wag a bit messing with setting will sort it out think it will fly right wants i sort the blades out think i adjust one of the links for tracking the blades as the blades or spot on balanced

Also Baz, I'm not sure what name brand blades you have on it but check the weight of the blades too. Being a off the wall brand X3, the blades might need to be balanced instead of messing with the linkage. Just throwing it out their.

Nice going on your flight. Thanks for sharing :).

Yeah, check weights and center of gravity on the blades. If you want to check tracking its not hard.

Get the heli light on the skids, get down and look at the disk at eye level. If it looks like 2 disks then tracking is an issue. Before starting your going to want to mark a blade with color tape or something reflective. Just so you know which blade you want to focus on.
