Motors understanding motor comparisons

Hi all:wave:
Can anyone help me to understand what I need to consider when I look at alternative makes and models of electric motors and their specs to find an equivalent replacement, the KV alone does not seem to be the only factor in finding a close match. Perhaps there is a comparison chart or guide that gives this relevant information, I realise that there are lots of motors out there but different makes seem to give different spec info and I am quite confused :banghead: any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks for looking

Things to look at are KV, Wattage, Weight and Armature/stator size. When you see a motor that has a number like 2025, that is usually the size of hte stator, or windings (ie. 20mm x 25mm). If you can match those characteristics, then you will have a motor that is pretty much on par with the one you are trying to replace.
