Other Tx rc binding

Can anyone point me in the right direction to how or what tx rx systems use binding or can be set to bind ?

There are no stupid questions bro, I assure you.

Anything that operates on the 2.4GHz band will have a bind button. Anything down in the MHz band (75, 72 and 35) will use crystals. Hope this helps.

So if any 2.4 will bind does the rx have to have a bind button as well or will it auto detect the bind function being sent from the transmitter

I ask because I picked up a hobby grade 24" boat that binds but the transmitter sucks

The Tx and Rx will need to be of the same brand name. And in most cases, you will have to insert a bind plug into the bind port of the Rx.
